Free Spirit Cruises is committed to totally offsetting Co2 emissions in 2010.

How has this been achieved?

1.    Minimise Co2 by addressing big ticket items namely fuel and power usage.

2.    Offsetting emissions by planting over and above the number of trees calculated so as to totally offset business emmissions forever.

What initiatives have been put in place to reduce emissions?

Installation of most efficient outboard motors.

Every time a motor vehicle needs to be replaced it is replaced by a more efficient vehicle.

Fuel computers are attached to all motors and vehicles.

Efficient scheduling.

Efficient driving techniques.

Route planning.

Installation of solar hot water at home/office.

Installation of 5kw photovoltaic at home/office (Currently in queue).

Recycling and hand sorting of Free Spirit waste.
