'Sahara by the Sea' - is one way to describe the northeast section of Bennets Beach at Hawks Nest!
Kilometers of enormous mobile sand dunes hug the coast. Climb to the top of a 50m dune and take in the spectacular views - then grab your surf or body board and launch yourself for the ride of your life!
For the more faint hearted try the mini-version at the northern end of One Mile Beach in Forster. Kids will love scooting down the sand hill and adults can use it to break up the grind of a daily run.
