The Mother's Day Classic is one of Australia's largest charity events and raises money for breast cancer research. 100% of fundraising is donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

There are 3 categories - 2km walk, 5km walk and a 5km run.

The course will start and finish in John Holland Park, just under the bridge.

There will be marshals along the way to provide direction and support where needed.

Official merchandise can be purchased on the day.

 

Registrations

Register as an individual, family or team.

Online entries close at 11.59pm on Wednesday 9 May.

In person registrations and bib collection available on Saturday 12 May at the MDC table in Stockland Forster.

On the day entries can be made at John Holland Park (at a higher fee).

Entry fees range from $10 to $30 per person and family tickets are available (online only).

Over 30 prizes up for grabs including fastest 5km runner, best dressed team and lucky door prizes!

On the day timetable

6:15am - On the day registrations open

7:00am- On the day registrations close

7:15am - Official welcome

7:20am - Warm up

7:30am - 5km run starts

7:40am - 5km walk starts

7:45am - 2km walk starts

 

Course details

2018 course to be confirmed. The 2017 course was:

The 5km course will start from John Holland Park, go past the Marina around the headland to the Surf Club, then head up North St onto the Bicentennial Track, turning near the tanks. The 5km run will be electronically timed and timing chips will be provided on the day.

The 2km walkers will be walking from John Holland Park, over the bridge to John Wright Park, then back again. Each 2km walker will be provided with pink helium balloons to tie on the bridge as they walk over. 

 

The event will be followed by a breakfast BBQ, also stalls selling flowers, pink cupcakes and other pink items.

Please note dogs are not permitted at this event.
