FORSTER ARTS AND CRAFTS CENTRE (established 1965)

No visit to Forster/Tuncurry is complete without seeing this fabulous Centre, where members can be seen working at their craft. It is an entirely self-supporting co-operative society, encouraging and promoting interest in all forms of art and craft, while providing comanionship and learning for its members. Included are toys, pottery, sculpture, original paintings, jewellery, patchwork, woodwork, leatherwork, quilling, beading, decoupage, baby wear and china painting.

Members Classes
Monday - beading, patchwork quilting
Tuesday - art & painting
Wednesday - china painting, decouage, beading, pottery
Thursday - patchwork quilting, decoupage
Friday - on the last Friday ot the month, members from every group join in a charity sewing day. Quilts are made for the sick children who come to stay at Ronald McDonald Family Retreat, Forster.
Saturday - pottery, sculpture.

  • Easter Theme Exhibition - 19 March
  • ANNUAL QUILT & CRAFT EXPO - May 15 & 16. Many of the Quilts of Love made at the centre for the children who stay at the Ronald McDonald Beach Cottages will be on show. Gold Coin donation.
  • Mother's Day Display - 9 April
  • Springtime Theme Exhibition - Sept
  • Christmas Theme Exhibition - Oct/Nov/Dec

  • Our Opening Hours are Open 7 days 10am - 4.30pm. Closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day, Anzac Day & Good Friday.
