The award winning Myall River Festival is a family-friendly day, with a large variety of market stalls, stage entertainment, river activities, games and competitions for the kids, all taking place on the magical waterfront of Tea Gardens, beside the Myall River.

This year's festival will include:-

  • Camel rides
  • Landscape painting competition ($500!)
  • “Fame” art exhibition by local artists
  • Two music & entertainment stages
  • Circus show & workshop
  • Bungee trampoline
  • Wood chopping event
  • “Photo-Speak” photographic exhibition

    The Festival will also all the annual faviourites:-

  • Sail past (River Parade)
  • Tracey McKibbon’s Dance School display
  • Surf Lifesaving Club river rescue demos
  • Duck race
  • Live band on main stage from 12 noon
  • Vintage car display
  • Over 70 market stalls

    So bring your hat, sunscreen and the whole family!

  • Directions: Tea Gardens & Hawks Nest are located an easy 2.5 hr drive north of Hornsby. Just follow the Pacific Freeway until the end, and then take the Pacific Highway all the way to the Tea Gardens turnoff - about 10mins north of Karuah.
    Travelling North: The turnoff is just north of the famous "Rock" Service Station.
    Travelling South: The Tea Garden turnoff is about 30kms from Bulahdelah. Tea Gardens is approx. 10 mins from the Highway.

    Ferry from Nelson Bay: Departs Tea Gardens 9:15am & 2:45pm & departs Nelson Bay 11:15am & 3:45pm. Ph. 0408 494 262.
